I played Timberborn in its early access period. I really liked the drought and boom mechanic a lot. My games kept getting ruined by broken beaver AI when multiple "zones"(suburbs?) were involved.
Perhaps I should give it another go.

perfect tides and its sequel station are fun as fuck. the sequel definitely improves on a lot, and its the first video game to give me book recs, which i like a lot. its a point and click adventure game duology with a lot of charm

Misread that as Perfect Tiddies and just readily accepted there must be a point and click adventure game by that name

Perfect Tides is a great game. It also has a dance section where it breaks 4th wall to instruct you how to mod a specific pirate mp3 into the soundtrack for the true experience
Which I feel is very BoringKate coded
